I've been getting back into reading a fair bit of late.
when I was in Sydney I got this weird book for a small donation from some guy on the street, it's basically about the Revelations section of the bible coming true. Pretty crazy book.
I also bought this book that is the history of silverchair. This really reminded me of being about age 12-14, and I really enjoyed it. I'm thinking more rock/music related biographies are things I would like to read. Also reminded me of this sweet tape I used to have
side A: was a triple J feature on Led Zeppelin, with a history + a few songs
side B: Silverchair live @ first Homebake in Byron Bay (96?) including a cover of New Race by Radio Birdman. In the book I learnt that Deniz Tek (of Radio Birdman) played guitar when they recorded New Race on the Freak single.
Currently I am reading "One Fourteenth Of An Elephant" by Ian Denys Peek. It is about POW's building the Thai-Burma relay and really puts an idea to the terms "rough times".
things I will probably do this weekend
Thursday- The Evens @ The Front, Lyneham (mainly due to proximity)
Friday- Hard Luck, Benchpress, more @ Sando
Sunday- Soundwave
have a bit of a contemplation of sticking around for the Hatebreed sideshow, but I don't really know if I could be bothered.
There is a show on SBS right now about Saddam Hussein's trial. It's all pretty fucked up.
