in short our pal is doomed

I just got back from the beach and I'm listening to the Lion King soundtrack, whilst in the background I hear lamb chops sizzling, because my Dad is cooking them for me. good times all round.

So beach was good. Went down to Middle Beach, which apart from Bega Skatepark would be one of the highest rating "places where I spent a majority of my childhood". From the lookout the surf looked pretty mediocre, but we jumped in anyway.

Water was damn cold. All my stuff is at home in Canberra (useful, I know), so I was wearing a wetsuit of my Grandpa's that had pink stripes down the side, riding my sister's board and wearing an odd pair of flippers (although that's not unusual, I haven't had a matching pair of flippers since I lost 2 in 2 days on a Bawley Point trip in about 2002). So anyway, I was definitely looking good.

We had the whole beach to ourselves, up until the time when I got out, a couple more people got in. Diving in at first was a bit of a shock to the system, it's been a long time since I've even been in the water, which makes me quite sad. So it was good to get back in. I got a few nice waves in the time. It wasn't big, wasn't tiny either, and it was pretty clean. Alison's board doesn't hold to the waves very well though, which was pretty frustrating.

My uncle steve is camping there at the moment (he pretty much lives there these days it seems, he comes down about 3 times as often as I do). So we went and visited him, had a chat about this that and the other, then came home, and now the part deux of my lunch feast is almost ready, so I better go eat it :)

beach, cold water, lunch, good times, bodyboarding, food, steve
