well. Last night was rather odd.
So Sam comes over, then goes home to watch Big Brother, and I bus away, stopping in Civic to pick up a bunch of things from Raven (they gave some pretty cool stuff for the footbag comp)...it's a pretty rad shop, I've never been in there before, then I bussed down to Woden for the ska wars show. Which was packed to the brim, so I ended up just standing outside in the rain a while, then going home.
Josh, Doug and Tim headed to the bottlo and returned with beer. We drank and watched the footy, Sam came back over and said she'd drive us into Civic
at about 11:30 we headed in. This is when the ordeal began
Josh was being a cunt and fiddling with the controls and other cunt-ish thing and eventually Sam just screamed...something like this AARRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. It was pretty intense.
So we got into Civic and they left and I consoled Sam the we went for a wander about Civic. Suprise suprise, Dan Smiley was at Red Gecko....and he was maggot. He's side of the convo consisted generally of "I'm so drunk, man, so maggot"
Just as we were about to leave, got a message from my sister saying she was at Mooseheads, conveniently we were right outside. So eventually we made a rendezvous. Sam went home, and I stayed...with no plan of my journey to get home. Me, Alison and Erica danced like retards, it was pretty fun. Rae was also out, we also danced like retards. I got a lift home with ger and her flatmate (I think her name is Belladonna or something like that)
if what we had means nothing then cut my throat
wow. The Red Shore are awesome. True story.
So yeah last night was odd. I had some fun times. At the end of the night I was really bored of the metros and shitty rats tails and of dancing like a retard
BLEED YOU DRY tonight...I'm fucking pumped. Lee's having a BBQ at the RSO at 12 today, I think me and Ben plan on starting drinking about then. Jack Napier, Dropsaw and more are playing...should be sweet. Though would be more awesome if Stab were playing too, that would top it off.
DON'T FORGET TO COME TO THE ZINE LAUNCH.
Luke that I used to work with's band Breaking The Broken are playing in Albury on Friday, I told him I would try and sort out a Canberra show for the Saturday. I'll see what I can do. I don't really know what venue we could use. I know Pete's is booked, I think Sound is too. Green Room aren't into doing hardcore shows. Maybe Holy Grail or somewhere else in Civic. I wonder if any of the bands would be interested in playing again. I'm pretty sure Holy Grail do all ages shows. This could work out. I might send some emails. Or I might not, and just go to Sam's 21st! So won't bother with any more scheming for that one.
I supose I should do what I came here for and that's look for example sponsorship plans
