here comes the winter...
it's starting to get pretty damn cold...which is a bit gay. Should go into hibernation for the next few months or so...but I can't see that happening at all.
So anyway...did the brumbies game last night
we had to collect people's emails, unsuprisingly, their were a lot of rejections. I think I had my speil down better than Doug's...we walked around inside the stadium together...and I racked up my 50 much quicker...
it'd be like "Excuse me...we're doing some research for the centre for tourism research, we're sending the surveys out my email, so if you'd like to put your email down, you can go in the prize draw to win a hundred dollar brumbies prize pack"
after saying that nearly around times, you get to know it pretty well! We were meant to ask people 18+, but there was some blantantly underage kids....and I was like eh wahtevs...there were a couple of guys with Parkway Drive paraphenalia...and I knew they'd need email to sign up to myspace, so I got them all down :P ONe of the guys with PWD shirts on...I've done my spiel and he's all like "oh yeah ok"...then I'm just like "I like your shirt" and he's like "you like Parkway" I think he was a bit shocked that this guy working for the centre for tourism research wearing a crazy orange jacket liked Parkway Drive :P
So onto the game....first half was pretty good, second half was watchign the clock shivering to death. Brumbies won...I think it was 23-18....a similar scoreline to that, but Brumbies one by 5...because in the last few minutes, Hurricanes were right on the brumbies line, and I expected they would score and win the game...didn't happen though. But fuck it was cold. Best part of the night was getting out of the carpark...we got put in the corporate west area, which is one level down from VIP...we got completely fucked around by security, which was fucking annoying on the way in...but on the way out, it took us about 1 minute to get from the carpark to College Street as opposed to the usual hour or so it takes from the normal carpark (plus we didn't have to pay)
I've really got a lot of sweet hookups, basically from the fact I'm doing tourism management as a minor...horoay! funny how I get free stuff at a sporting event...from my minor, tourism management, not my main degree, SPORTS management :P Crazy times.
So my thoughts are that I don't particularly want to do that again next week. I did extra work at half time, so I'm getting a bit of extra cash, and yesterday at the balloons I wasn't meant to work in the first place, but they called me in late.
Prom Queen and Amity tonight in Wollongong...I'm pretty pumped for it. Gotta get over to Paddy's by 4, which shouldn't be too hard at all.
So yeah, my main thought is that I'd like to stay in Sydney an extra day and go to Parkway's last show before they go overseas, cos it's a big lineup. But hmm I dunno. Depends how much money I actually get paid from the balloons....I think after tonight I'll be pretty well broke til Wednesday. I might arrange to give Morgan the petrol money at a different time, maybe Wednesday, maybe next Monday when I get paid from Centrelink...I'm a little worried my bank details will fuck up. I hope they don't! I want that money...I wonder how much I'll get after tax...hopefully it's still like $130 or so...then I've done another 5 or so hours on top of that. So that'll be around the $100 mark for next pay time...which is about 3 weeks from now. But in between that I have my $200 of Centrelink money...which will firstly go to impending phone and internet bills that will be arriving in the letterbox soon. Ouch.
Dana posted a picture of Mumbulla Falls in her journal....damn...I miss that place, pretty much the best place ever....natural rock jump + waterslide...and the rock jump is not too high. I haven't been home for ages...a good 2 months, cos I'd just started going out with Sam (and we'd already been on an interstate trip to meet my parents- crazy). That trip was pretty damn great come to think of it.
Anyway. I'm planning on going to Melbourne in the holidays also. It will be either before or after hardcore 2006, which I will go to for sure. Holidays start June and go to July 10. I ahve a feeling Hardcore will be on the first weekend of July, though not entirly sure. So anyway...I don't know how I will plan it really...I'll think about it later, closer to the date. Also...I have an exam the day before Come Together...how annoying...I wonder how Sam's exam timetable is..cos most likely her 21st present will be a ticket to Come Together.
I look forward to tonight anyway...good times
