I barely even get any time to sit down and make a long winded post in livejournal these days
but...it's been good times all round really
so yesterday
free bbq = 6 sausages
eating on a sunday is back in fashion people.
Also in attendance.... Sam, Benno, Steve-o...Nathan, Brooke...Nikki and Scotty from e-bot...others
Tropfest
pretty good. The first two films I really liked...especially "Goggles"..which was kinda...different. There was also a cool one about a single dad with two twins and he's just all....."there's one way about it...you gotta pick a favourite" on the bus today, we met this girl and the two twins in the movie were her nephews. Random.
So anyway...our little crew at tropfest was pretty similar to the lighthouse one....minus Nathan and Brooke...plus Chay. Liz also came by and we got to meet her man-friend. The second last film was kinda dodgy and I didn't like it at all.
Today involved going into walk against want. Thanks to Kate I took my time to get there, as no one was going to be there for a while. So I got in....did some sorting of volunteers and stuff...also called St Johns to confirm..they were meant to call me back but...THEY FAILED ME.
Went to lunch with Erin, Renee and Kate in Civic and felt like one of those trendsters that sits around "doing lunch" in Civic. Also felt like I spent way beyond my means on my lunch...which...although the chicken parts were tasty...it was mainly a large bowl of lettuce.
Went to uni after this. Went to refec and bought some crappy chips...I don't really know why...but I ran into Garth and...the other guy who's name escapes me (frisbee kids I met at the bar the other day, who said they'd join my footbag club if I joined their's) we hung out for a while...and who should walk by but my dear friend/lovvvvvvvvveerr Sam. So we all hung out. Then Matt and Frank walked by and I was off to class
about a minute in I went....man...I'm bored. But persisted with it
I think I might just try and get sponsorship for my UCU footbag club as my 50 hours deal...I don't know if this will work/will be legal..but I'll give it a go
speaking of internships...I sent a message to the Sound Underground guys seeing if I could get a hook up there and they seemed keen. SWEET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! totez winning at life right now
after the class I met Sam again, we went over to her place, ate some food, went back to my place, hung out. Then went to touch footy. I fucking loved it...so much fun. I also scored a try...it was a pretty sweet try as well...I had the ball just in front of the tryline, threw a massive dummy, fooled everyone...and thought "hey, I fooled everyone...I'll just put the ball down over this tryline"....go me!!!
I also knocked on at dumy half...that wasn't so great..but it was awesome fun. And Sam played too!!!!!!!!!! yayayayayay for everyone
AND AND AND FREE BBQ and BEER.............FREE BEERRRRR. Twas great. Anyhow...I'm really looking forward to playing...I was doing runarounds and running angles and throwing cut out passes...it was pretty sweet...and I felt like I was putting in a good part to the team
anyhow..our team has Adine and some of her friends and Nathan...but yeah...I don't know any of them...so that's some more people to think I'm rad :P
today I bought my ticket to go to Brisbane for Overcranked. No turning back now. My train gets there at like...5:30 Friday morning. Ouch. But hey...means I'll probably stay at Grandma's the night before and stock up on rad food. Friday night we will probably hit the $5 jug place. Sat is overcranked. Sunday looks like I could be going to a Net Footbag session...that would be fucking sweet
Monday I may shred. Tueday I'll probably leave on a jetplane. So I get home and Sam goes to Cairns a few days later...oh noes...but she'll come back and everything will be great again. Tomorrow is 3 weeks since we've met each other. Crazy.
I started this post last night, but Karen stole the internet and never gave it back. So anyway...today I have the photoshoot for Walk Against Want, then I have a lecture for Event Management, then go to half of a sports sponsorship lecture, then Event management tute, then the back half of sports and the law lecture
