Screw Mallomars, It's Lebkuchenzeit!
I don't care about Christmas Creep, I want my Lebkuchen, and was glad to see a full display last night in the Food Emporium near campus. Christmas comes to New York every Octorboer in the form of German Christmas cookies, usually by Bahlsen, but now so many different brands are available.
I was crushed when I realized I couldn't eat Mallomars anymore, as they're made by Nabisco, which is owned by Kraft, which in turn is owned by the Evil Death Merchants of Philip Morris Altria-the-name-we-use-so-no-one-will-recognize-us-as-the-Evil-Death-Merchants-formerly-known-as-Philip-Morris. Sigh. And I loved those cookies, too. Oh well, it ain't a sacrifice unless it hurts.
