Upon This Tidal Wave of Young Blood

I really hate being back in school during the summer. Even though I'm only taking three classes, the schedule's all over the place. Most days I have class until 2:00, and then have to turn around and go back at 6:00 or so for the next round. It's really messing with my attempts at laziness. I had my first class of Electronic News Gathering, which is basically just taking out all of the equipment and shooting on location somewhere, usually news stories. The class should be fun, but I immediately got stuck in a group with a particular person that I swore up and down I would never ever work with again, ever. She is the most stuck up know-it-all bitch in the school, and yet she wouldn't be able to turn on a camera and shoot anything if her fucking life depended on it. And then she has the nerve to tell everyone else that they don't know what they're doing, and blames them if the video isn't absolutely perfect. Talentless hack. I got to class a little late today and everyone else that I would've wanted to work with had already paired up, so I was stuck with her. AHHHHH. I usually don't hate anyone this much. I really don't. In fact, even when I hate somebody, I usually like them anyways because it really isn't in my nature to really strongly dislike people. But this bitch, I just want to slap that smug look off her face every time I see her.

Anywho...this quarter is only nine weeks long, and then I get a pretty decent break afterwards, so I've just got to suck it up and see it through. I just need to take it easy this weekend and catch up on some much needed rest. I've pretty much been going non-stop since I got back from Colorado, and while I was out there, I didn't really have time to take it easy. We were up at 6:00 a.m. every single day with one or two exceptions, when we got to sleep in until 7:00, and then we'd be on the go all day doing various outdoor activities or driving all around the freakin' state to see relatives and such. So I just need to settle down, get some sleep, curl up on the couch for an obscenely long period of time with a good bottle of wine, and watch a couple of good flicks.

Well, I'm tired as hell, and I really don't know what I'm still doing up. I have to go back to school in a few hours and then I've got to reserve the editing lab after classes are done with to re-edit the documentary I did on the Gates of Berlin last quarter so that I can give DVD copies to the band members. I really hope they like it, and then make us rich and famous as they hit it big. I believe they put our names in the liner notes, which is really really awesome. Oh god, I'm rambling again.

Alright, going to bed now. If anyone wants to join me this weekend in being extraordinarily lazy and doing absolutely nothing, then give me a ring. Later folks.
