Still in France. After an 11 hour trip from York to London to Paris and then to Grenoble by train, tube and metro I was quite tired on Friday evening. Woke up at 7am on Saturday morning for breakfast followed by a 24 hour fun packed day and night on our beamline. The automatic sample changer which has been online since Feb has not dropped a sample yet...until it came to load my crystal!!!! It is nice to break a record. We managed to test all 60 crystals before 6am Sunday morning so we had yesterday off to catch up on sleep. Last night, Johan, Tracey, Jitka, Gideon Davis, (who has provided a lot of entertainment over the weekend) and I went out for dinner last night in Grenoble. It was a great evening. Fondue, wine and a walk home in the rain. Slept for 11 hours last night. Going back into Grenoble with Jikta and Tracey in the next few mins for dinner.
