I just got back from cabin, it was great to get away. I read About a Boy which I highly recommend and Scar Tissue the biography of Anthony Keidis. Scar Tissue was one of those books that is not written the best but is so awesome to read because, really, who can read enough stories about drugs and sex? I know that I couldn't stop reading it. There was a part towards the end when he had stopped doing drugs for awhile and wrote the song Porcelain about a woman who has a young daughter, but has to live at the YWCA because she is a recovering addict. The songs lyrics were in there and as I read the lyrics the melody came back into my head and I remembered how I would listen to that song everytime something bad would happen to me in 8th, 9th and 10th grade and I almost started crying remembering how much I loved that song, it was a beautiful thing.
