So on American Idol, this 65 year old man had a wife who had cancer, and he kept her alive for months telling her he would get on American Idol so he could sing for her. He started a petition to get on the show (the cut off age is 28), and people signed it. He found out he had the audition, told his wife...and she died right there, happy, smiling, knowing that she was leaving her husband of 30-? years to make a beautiful song on TV for her. And he sang, and it was wonderful, and Paula Abdul cried, and I think just thinking about it is making me cry...
Sometimes, I think that I'm some character in a really sad musical, and that all the songs of the day are merely the soundtrack to that musical. I wish I could just sing to everyone I meet, so that instead of words we could have music to communicate with.
*sigh* I'm such a sap...
