You Win Again, Nature! *shakes fist*
So last night I was just chillin' and playing some Dwarf Fortress when all of the sudden the power goes out. The terrible thing was it was only about 7:30 and it was already pitch dark (man, I hate the Winter). So I look around the house for some candles, a flashlight, anything and come up empty. My dad just left that morning to go on a business trip so I can't really ask him. Great. Too early to go to bed and I can't see anything. Usually, power outages seem like an excuse to get back to nature, but in this case I'm stuck with the only thing in the ENTIRE house that gives off any kind of measurable light (aside from my lighter) - my DS. Kind of ironic that the only thing I can use when we lose power is just about the most technologically advanced thing I own.
Oh well, I made a lot of progress through Chrono Trigger (got to the part where you get Ayla), so that's a plus. The thing is, I was kind of thinking about playing some earlier, then decided to play something on the PC instead. I guess nature itself wanted me to play it. Still, I would have liked to get a little reading done or work on my campaign (still need to find something for tomorrow :O). Oh yeah, and the bloody power kept turning on and off all night, waking me up repeatedly. I had to get up early and since my alarm kept resetting, I had to use my phone for that...the one thing I own possibly more advanced than my DS. :P
