Jorbs and Whatnot

So Mark helped set me up with a catering job that I'll be doing on Friday. That's pretty awesome, though it means I'm not going to have any time off. Still, anything that doesn't have anything to do with Red Lobster... I need to find a clothing iron though, and fast...and learn how to use it.

Speaking of Red Lobster, I'm seriously getting really burned out working there. For some reason it has become like 5x more taxing on me, mentally and physically. I can barely get through a 4 hour shift without feeling that I just need to lie down for a while, and my back is starting to hurt like a bitch. Of course, this probably also has to do with the fact that I'm getting 20+ hours a week as opposed to the 8-16 I was getting. :/

So that's put me in the odd position of having money again, and I've been spending it a bit (which I really shouldn't, but oh well). I thought about ordering the Pathfinder RPG book and the monster manual supplement, but I think I'll just wait until they come out (this month and next respectively), and hopefully they'll be sold in a local store so I won't have to pay S+H on top of the price.

Also, I wish I had the time to run a game again. Hours are good, but they seem to keep scheduling me to be off when no one else is available. At lease I seem to always get Thursdays off. But yeah...running something again would be awesome, especially if we could include Diane a few more times before she has to go off to school.

Lastly, an old internet friend of mine has decided to start sending me computer parts when he found out I'm running a kind of shitty machine. I already got a DVD-R from him (since my old CD-R died years back), and he's apparently sending me a huge-ass HD as well (after he heard I only had an 80 GB drive). So that's awesome. Also, digging around in my computer installing stuff made me glad I have a PC instead of a Mac. It's always fun doing that and its always good to know your machine from the inside out.

d&d, computer, work
