So the other day, in between shifts at work, I went to hang out at the mall for a bit. While waiting at Barnes & Noble for Diane to get off work, I ran across the complete series of Jeeves and Wooster for $40. I was tempted to get it because I had heard good things about it and it stars Hugh Laurie and Stephen Fry together, which you really can't go wrong with. However, I hadn't seen more than clips of it before and am unused to buying stuff blind. Still, I was rather curious about it, and so was Diane, so I decided to buy it anyway. I was happily not disappointed with it. It's a bit different from the sort of comedy I'm used to, being less laugh-out-loud funny, and rather more clever and (as women tend to say) cute. Hugh Laurie is his typical sort of brilliant, playing a parody of British aristocracy and Stephen Fry is his usual droll and witty self, playing the clever butler. But who can really expect less from such great actors?
