A-Team question (NERD ALERT!)

Jan 05, 2011 09:16

Hello!

Question: Why do people keep using "James" as Murdock's first name in movie fics? His title card said "HM Murdock", but I've only seen the movie once so there might be something I've missed.

Anyhoo, just curious. If you can answer this, cheers! :)

Still haven't had a chance to watch the DVD, but my understanding is that somewhere in the movie, he's referred to as James Murdock. ???

I never saw the movie and in fact have very STRONG opinions on why I did not and will not. That opinion was largely FORMED by the set of trailers - one of which changed Murdock's name to "James." You can find it on Youtube. Look up A-Team Movie and there's a little vignette for each of them. Murdock's name is "James."

Ahhhhh, that makes sense then. Thanks! Yeah, it can suck when something you love (book, tv show, etc) is made into a film/remade... I know it's just one interpretation of the characters, and often a loose one at that, but when something has such a huge budget you always hope that they'll manage to honor the original idea that they've been entrusted with.
