In case you haven't seen it already, a company named Intellectual Ventures thinks that they may have a new way to combat malaria, an automatic, computer-controlled, anti-mosquito laser that can shoot down fifty to a hundred mosquitoes per second. I'm not holding my breath since they haven't even begun producing them in...well, giant robot turret of death form, or whatever they're supposed to be producing them in.
