I really was never happy with the swing that we got from our registry with Mackenzie and I found some great deals on these Fisher Price ones and I was hoping for your opinions!!

Current Graco Swing (which I really hated to be honest) -

I would go with the second one due to the AC adapter. Plus, I think it's kind of cute :-)

We have the first FP one you posted and really like it. I think they say the forward/back swing is stimulating and the side to side is relaxing. The butterflies going around didn't entertain Aaron too much but there was a mirror on the underside of that thing he LOVED to look at. We used it a good amount and changed the batteries a few time.

If they had an option of a AC adapter I'd have gone with that one. But I personally don't like the ones that have the fabric coming down like that but I'm guessing you don't have to put it on if you don't want. And who knows .... maybe a baby would love it.

If they're the same price I'd go with #2 for the AC adapter.

Oh....another thing to consider is the music it plays. I really like the music on #1 it's nature themed.

We have Fisher's Price's Papasan swing and have always loved it. Definitely get one that plugs in!

i have the first fp one. my kids arent swing kids so far, so take this for what its worth. I liked it - it was more amusing to nic when joe was in it than it was for joe. No complaints. I like the ac adaptor one better though i think...one of my main complaints with joe in there was that nic would come up to his side and poke at him...for some reason, he rarely poked from the front - just the side. The netting on the sides might have prevented that a bit... :) (i know, sad huh?)

I don't think it is crazy to point out what the older siblings do to the babies as I agree the netting might work out well!!

I like the one with the adapter. My kids were swing babies and we went through babies like there was no tomorrow.

I think they all should come with the option to buy the AC adapter, but we are just smart moms!!
