I will not complain about the past two weeks, but I will tell you, that geology is not a major for sissies. I've spent the past two days climbing up and down mountains.. maybe they're hills in Wyoming, but at 8000 feet, they're mountains to me.. and I am tired.
There really isn't much going on. I haven't had much time to miss anyone because this is kinda like the Real World, in that about 100 people are for the most part, confined to the gates of camp. It's an intense friendship making experience, and happily, I like almost everyone in my 13 person group. There are six girls, and we all get along well, which I dig. PLus, I can't forecast any romances, so there are no possible rifts that could develop there.
I've seen some cool stuff... the Tetons, Dinosaur National Park, and some buffalo. Also, I've discovered a new love for cows. I dig them.
Okay. This is a lame update, but I'm tired, so please forgive me. Fun quote of the week:
My geology class was checking out an outcrop at the side of a highway. A man in an SUV slows down, rolls down his window:
Man: Hey, are you guys alright?
GSI: Yeah, we're geologists.
Man: So you're not alright?
ha ha ha.
