So my plane is late (not surprising) and I'm exhausted (also not surprising).
This a list of random things that occurred to me, many inspired by my latest visit to Tall Tree:
1. I love engineers. I love working with them. I love translating their dense, weird, wonderful logic. I love their pragmatism and passion.
2. I hate people who leave their television on all night long, blaring gameshows and commercials. It is the height of poor business traveller etiquette.
3. I do not like waking up at 3a multiple days in a row.
4. I like hearing Japanese in the breakfast room. It's pleasant.
5. I also like Bulgarian and Russian accents. They are also pleasant.
6. Thank you, fabulous flist, for your feedback on my two story ideas. You're amazing, all of you.
7. Thank you to everyone who linked me to the
TARDIS on the small dome at MIT. It's at times like this that I miss MIT the most.
8. Thank you to the kind person who nominated my "we" story for best gen fic in the
No Rest for the Wicked Awards. I'm incredibly honoured.
...
Huh. Apparently my plane is landing early, so I'll sign off here.
To everyone I owe email: thank you, and I'll respond as soon as I can back home.
Hugs to all.
