Broken Beet

So I played IIDX last night/early this morning while way too tired to do much of anything (aka I probably shouldn't have played).  I had the best randoms ever in moon_child, V, and Mei, on Hyper, got an A, B and B respectively, and none of them cleared.  It's kinda a shame since if I was more alert I wonder if I might have actually cleared at least one of them.

But it was inspiring.  I'm definitely gonna grind on Happy Sky's 10s a lot more often.  Good randoms or not, feeling like I was on the cusp of passing those songs (I think I ended with 60%+ on each of them, oh and 78% on Scream Squad on random) was great.  IMO, the feeling of "ahhh, that was a good run, and even though I didn't pass it I ended high" is only a bit less than "YESSSS finally passed it".

Meanwhile, I want to start going through and hardclearing everything possible.  After hardclearing Time To Air [h] (yay my third 10 hardclear) I feel the need to trickle that down to the easier songs.  I might do it methodically like I used to, hardclearing all of a style's Normal songs, then hardclearing all of its 7s on all difficulties, and branching out from there.  Hopefully I can get some easy AAAs and FCs from the really easy songs in the process.

I might see if my old VJA rival would be up to butting heads again.  IIRC he could score way better than me, but we could both pass about the same stuff.  Maybe I need to find a rival a notch down from him :/.
