a (not-so-much) high functioning sociopath and her (not-so-much-either) fantastic stories
Things I realized after a great amount of thought:
- It's been a year and three months since I left my job. A job I did for five years. Sometimes I wonder what took me so long.
- You know, I'm an anime fan. Well, I used to be. I grow up watching anime. I read a lot manga. I did some cosplay too and I do have a ff7 tattoo (okay, it's a video-game, not an anime, but you get the hint). Today, I don't have the patience anymore, but I really can't say I'm not an anime fan. I'm saying that so I can explain this: before Slash, I used to like Yaoi. I still do, some and other ship, but nowadays most of my ships are Slash. And yes, there's a difference. A huge one, actually. When it comes to Yaoi, there's a seme and there's a uke. Usually, you don't mix this up. Then, the Slash came (you see what I just did? Did you see it? lol) into my life and made a huge mess in my pretty little head. Until today I can't really enjoy a fic where Remus tops Sirius, I just can't. Took me years to be able to see through the fog of the m/m's relationship and understand that it is okay to the cute one to top every now and then, too. Then, finally, FINALLY, Eames/Arthur happened and I was a Brave New Fangirl who now is capable of writing top!Arthur and top!Eames in the same story, among other things and be happy about it. So, just tell me. WHY, why did I have to fall for Sherlock (the bbc series, yes, ages late for the party, sue me) to find out that 87,98% of the fandom think Sherlock only tops (in the good stories, I mean, there’s a lot of clueless!Sherlock which isn’t worth the reading). I wasn't hoping for 100% top!John, but come on. I little switching would be marvelous.
- British accent is so sexier than the American. Yes, even than the Louisiana kind.
- I love being a History major. I hate that I have to study the History of my own country, though. Does it make me an anti-patriotic bitch? (In other words: should I just shut down my Brazil III’s class this semester?)
- Some of you must have heard of a massive flooding that happened in Brazil like a month back. It was pretty serious; a lot of people died/lost their homes/their tvs etc. So, yes, I live in Brazil and though I and my people are okay (different state, you see), I was initially disappointed that took LJ almost two weeks to make a vgif in order to help the Brazilian victims, but well, here it is. It's called "Help Brazil" and, thinking about it, I'd had love to offer a story to bid, but I failed to find any community in the matter :/. [edit] okay, weeks later I've I found one. It's helpbrazil2011, but it seems that the auction is already closed and isn't opening back anytime soon. Well. [/edit]
- I may be able to write a 28k story in English, but I still struggle to make sense in ~450 words when I try to write a LJ post. FML.
