Looking for inspiration

Feb 01, 2009 11:26

I remember 4th year high school when we were talking about "Les Miserables" and the love connection between Marius and Cosette.  Mrs. Eala made us run to the Friendship Garden to kind of "set the mood" for us.  She then said, "Complete the sentence: People know I'm in love when..."  Interesting answers given by everyone.  I don't remember a lot of them actually, but here's mine.

People know I'm in love when I start writing poetry.

Okay, so lately, I've been writing poetry.  He has been my inspiration for the past few weeks, but as things died down between us, so has the inspiration.  Darn!  Just when I NEED to write a poem!  We watched "Ang Unang Baboy sa Langit" and based on that play, we have to write either a "kuwentong pambata" or "tulang pambata".  Well, since I haven't been writing stories, and poetry instead, I picked tulang pambata.  RAWR though!  I found some inspiration after watching the Ninoy documentary (which I haven't forgiven my prof for, by the way), and while I was waiting for my sister at Bo's, I wrote.

Here's the problem: it's not a tulang pambata anymore.  It's a poem for a child alright, but it's more of a poem for a child OUR age!  NOOOOOOOOOOOO!  I need to find inspiration REAL quick because it's due on Wednesday already!

Hmmm...how do you fall in love within a day with a stranger?  HAHA!  I'm just kidding.  Hmmm...I'm seeing him later.  Maybe, but I won't count on it.

Well, Charm suggested I watch a movie with my celebrity crush in it.  I did that alright, but it just ruined the inspiration it could have given me.  In the last 10 minutes of the movie, the stupid website said, "Your 72 minutes are done.  Please wait 54 minutes, or to experience..." yada-yada-yada!  WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT?!  That...sucks...big!  So that just broke my heart and destroyed ALL inspiration.

RAWR!  Maybe I'll wait until after choir practice today.  It makes me fall in love with God all the time.  Maybe that's what I need.  No.  I know that's exactly what I need.  I don't need to be in love with a darned guy to be inspired.  All I need is the love of God.  WOOHOO!

P.S. I was sooooooo not in love with that guy okay?...and I'm still not.  I'm just a kid...and even, in the words of my dad, "You're just a baby."  AWWWWW....that's the cutest thing my dad has every said to me (after I asked if he allowed me to have a boyfriend).  I love my dad!
