My JDrama Chronicles - Part VII
I just finished watching this...it was what I'd call a no-brainer...check your brain at the door and enjoy some mindless fun...

Synopsis:
Six bored, rich high school kids - three boys & three girls - in their final year at St. President High School solve mysteries and crimial cases to pass the time.
Comments:
Well, the very short summary shows that not much of substance goes on in this drama. This high school kids have access to all kind of technical gadgets and fight crime...you have to suspend disbelieve in order to be able to watch this. All the characters are totally wacky (not that that's necessarily a bad thing) and so it's hard to warm up to any of them. The only time when their antics are shown for what they are - childish pranks - and they get in real danger for a couple of scenes and are exposed for some kind of secret agents wannabes. But unfortunately, that only lasts for a few scenes before they get back to their old ways. I would have like to see more of these " real scenes" where the characters show some appropriate emotions for teenagers.
I ususally like crazy characters - Nakatsu in Hana Kimi for example, but they need to have some emotional depth once in a while.
If you're looking for a drama to watch while doing housework or on rainy Sunday afternoon when you're totally bored, that's something I'd recommend;)
