don't know why..I guess I just haven't really got it's purpose figured out yet. Sometimes I feel like writing stuff...but then I just...don't..
Oh well, I'm updating now on my spare pc while I'm waiting for windows to install on my main machine (don't ask!)
I might try out Linux on my spare later on out of interest but we'll see.
So whats new? Well for starters my washing machine leaked all over the place and it all soaked into this soundproofing stuff I have down under the carpets (being in a flat and all) so right now I've got the floor taken up in the kitchen and a de-humidifier going full blast. The joys of home ownership eh? lol
OH YEAH! Big news! Got my payrise! and a nice rise it is too - they actually gave me what I asked for! I was expecting them to come back with a half-way offer but no, I got the full thing! I guess with all the developments going on and trying to raise our profile with the regional health authorities they could without losing another equal pay tribunal. Still, given that it's two salary grades higher I'm surprised I got it so easily. Hopefully it should come through in Decembers pay but I'm not too bothered if it's late as it gets backdated to November anyway. Might finally get some savings going (yeah right ;) )
Good to see certain forums working a bit better - the mod situation on AZUK and the general revival of new-haven. CDR's little shoot off games are largely to thank for that plus when the main rpg finally makes an appearence that should draw a bit more activity.
Got our xmas do at work on Thursday - why a Thursday? because they think it's funny to see who turns up looking the worst on friday morning. Well it won't be me - I've booked the day off!haha! I remember last year one guy turned up to work still in his clothes from the night before having woken up 9am in a cleaners cupboard in the hotel we had the party in! So much for Mr 'I don't want my meal, I'll just fill up on drink' lol, words of doom if ever I heard them!
Somehow gotta find time to go see the Return of the King too... it's an awkward time of year to organise an evening trip to York. An hours drive is easily worth it not to sit on our local cinema's (Think tiny cramped seats, ear-splittingly harsh speakers and freezing cold)
All in all... things aren't too bad :)
