(no subject)
My order from Play.com might arrive tomorrow, the site said it was dispatched on saturday (even though I only ordered it on saturday teatime - now thats impressive!) Haven't watched any of the animatrix yet and I've had it nearly a week now! Well, my streamload account is once again drained for the month so I've got definitely watch them soon.
Got to see the mortgage guy in the morning, also looking at the flat again cos my Dad wants to see :) Had a missed call from the estate agents so maybe I've got an answer (the seller is on holiday, but left contact instructions behind) fingers crossed.
Figured out what it is about azuk that gets me frustrated sometimes. I just caught up on the eva thread. Well, everyone knows this is one anime that provokes some pretty varied opinions, which is fine. Even a posting strong negative opinions is ok, and theres nothing wrong with countering an opinion you don't agree with - this is called 'having a discussion' It certainly not a personal thing if someone doesn't agree with you, although sometimes people can seem to show little understanding that there is no universal definitive answer to a lot of things, but so what?
No, what gets me is when people start getting sarcastic about other peoples posts, and sometimes actually insulting them. But this is what Mods are for right? To handle this sort of thing? Wrong. It suddenly struck me when reading the thread that the first personal attack was actually made BY a Mod. (This having been after another Mod had already shown some insight and closed the thread when it first starting descending, until another Mod decided to re-open it)
What sort of forum has Mods that don't support each other? Or set an example on how to behave?
Thats whats wrong with AZUK. Like someone else said, the forum is getting by only because of a handful of cool people. Oh well, no more moaning there are some good people there and I'm sick of complaining to my LJ about it! Might browse around some other forums tomorrow, find one that doesn't seem to attract as much hassle. Well, theres never any harm in making more friends:)
Meanwhile.....NI came back! Seems he's got his internet provider sorted (so I assume he's found a more permanent place to live) So hopefully he'll have time to sort out the site. Good stuff!
