A grand total of £8.10 from a £6 ticket. Obviously I can't be bothered to transfer it out so it will stay in my account until I use it on another ticket and probably lose. And that's how casinos around the world stay in business! At least profits go to charity in this case - after paying giant bonuses to the lottery executives that is.
Where does the 10p come from? Must be from conversion from Euros or something, seems a weird amount to win. Now move that decimal place a little to the right and I'll be a lot happier...
Got Java assignment back, 89% not bad. Apparently those easy questions worth loads more points than the harder questions really were as simple as I read them. I was a bit paranoid about that, my brain must happen to work in the right way for this particular course.
On the other hand the material for my other course just arrived. Despite supposedly being mainly presented via the Open University website they still saw fit to pack in two lever arch files full of material plus three 'supplementary skill' books of about 100 pages each which aren't part of the actual course objectives in themselves, but may be needed to get through the curriculum. Also the course has twice as many assignments as normal.
Haven't looked at the course website yet but I'm hoping that it simply keeps referring to the printed material a lot, but in my past experience when they say the course materials are presented on the net they mean exactly that. Will have a look tomorrow - don't want to spoil my evening.
I'm a little blown away by the volume of this one. The exam for Java is in June/July so I reckon I'll be extremely busy during this overlap period. No thought of moving or looking at new jobs for the next couple of months then.
Oh well, at least I've got my £8.10!
