Picked a good week to take off work - sunny all the way!
Heading out to Dalby forrest tomorrow for a bit of mountain biking. Should be suitably embarrasing given my amazing lack of fitness coupled with my high spec bike. Used to make me laugh in the old days see some red faced guy pushing his megabucks steed up a hill while I leisurely cruised by on my halfords special. Well, now I am that guy.
Oh well, the only way to get into shape is to drag your arse out there and do something.
As for the purpose of my time off, I was going to finish a bit of diy around the flat and catch up on studying but the sunny weather has forced me to do other things. Like spend four hours washing my car and eating ice cream. Oh the horror!
I hope dalby isn't badly hit by the flooding on sunday, which has certainly not affected my town much. I don't mean to sound cold there but I'm never surprised by this kind of thing. Not when I know 3 people who share a house, work the same hours at the same place less than half a mile away yet each one drives a car seperately too work every day. When challanged on this the rely is 'I've got the same right to drive to work as anyone else'
