Music Is My Life!
Well it seems that all my LJ friends are taking exams and I'm no exception. Although everyone else's are far more significant to their lives than mine is at this stage.
So work is OK, been getting the feeling that if I want to move away and give my career a kick up the arse while I'm young(ish) and single I'm running out of time. In less than 3 years I'll be thirty (and you lot think exams are stressfull lol!) and there somes a certain point where you're no longer thought of as young and dynamic so you'd better be making heady progress towards wherever you want to be by that time otherwise you'll never get there. Or so they say, personally I think it's all a load of crap, but hey.
I need another year to really get financially secure enough to move away (I curse the lodestone that is property ownership)but on the other hand I've been getting on really well with my piano lessons and it would be a shame to have to find a new teacher at this stage.
My uncle just gave me an electric guitar he had stuck in his loft - a Fender Stratocaster so I've been making a racket with that whenever I've gotten bored. I've learned a grand total of 3 clumsy chords and had no neighbours complaining yet so it's all good.
Well, back to study. Then again I'd better do some ironing or I'll have to go to work naked tomorrow.
