(no subject)
Well, another long overdue update.
What have I done since the last entry? Well, I spent a weekend in gainsbrough near Lincoln where a friend has bought a house to do up. It's a pretty small place (even compared to my town) and seemed a bit dull, but we didn't go out anywhere and didn't need too. It was the first time I got to see this particular friend for a long time - plus I went down there with another old mate. There really is nothing like a gathering of your old friends to make you realise that some things don't change and great friends are worth more than anything.
Last saturday I went to Castle Howard for the outdoor proms spectacular - and spectacular it was. Especially when the spitfire flew over as the orchestra played battlefield 1942 (i think it's called - the theme from dambusters) followed by colonel bogey. Everyone was stompnig and waving flags. I actually felt proud to be british (a rare patriotic moment!)
Unfortunately later events lead to a kinf of heart to heart conversation which didn't exactly go my way. Strange thing is I felt kind of released the next day, instead of pissed off like I should have been.
Kinda feel awkward about neglecting my journal so long, even though most of my journal friends probably can;t even remember how I got on their list by now! lol.
It's pretty crap that no one seems to have been there for Cath (Yumei)in the last few days as it seems she's had a bad time of it (certainly worse than my petty complaints) I hope your feeling a lot better now and that whatever was wrong is looking better now - if you still have me on your friends list after all this time! lol, in fact - just out of curiosity please could anyone who reads this make some kind of reply just so I know who still bothers to read this neglected journal? Feel free to ask who the hell I am anyway!
