Whoohoo! I got my comp room back!

I'm down to one pc having stupidly blown the cpu on my spare when I put it in someone elses mobo having convinced myself that his problem was that he'd blown his cpu though overclocking. Well, it was blown alright - not through oveclocking but though a faulty PSU which soon destroyed my cpu too.

Oh well, I havent really got space for a second monitor on my desk anymore since I swapped my room dominating dest for something more sensible.

It's really nice to have my set-up back to normal (bar the dead second pc) how long has it taken me to do this flooring anyway? oh well, I suppose it's gone prety well for a evening and weekend job considering I've never even pulled up a carpet before. I have to say the whole diy thing has turned out far better than expected.

Got out on the mountain bike at the weekend, might even dare a real offroad ride again soon! Damn these skinny legs of mine, how did I let myself get this unfit?
Got to star some martial arts soon, but I donl think I'll go back to my old club. It's been that long (almost 3 years) that It just won't feel right, especially since I know I'll keep my grade. It'll take ages to get anywhere close to my old level and in the meantime i'll look pretty stupid running around with my old belt and getting shown up by all the coloured grades past yellow.

I kind of fancy a fresh start anyway, something different. I was in it mostly for the freestyle tournaments before but now they mostly concentrate on full contact. I had a few full contact fights but I didn't liek that fact that people took it so seriously. At the end of the day I don't live in fear of my life and if I do some sparting activity in my spare time it's more for the enjoyment of it than anything else. The freestyle stuff wasn't too realistic (well a sport is a sport and not neccesarily self defence) but at least it was great fun and yeah, there were always a few dirty fighters but they were pretty easy to handle with experience.
I don't quite know what I'l do but I realise that the days of the gang driving off to a tournament every few weekends is over, the old gang is gone and the club doesn't really go that way anymore.

I fancy something more traditional but not too stiff. That why I always liked the freestlyle - I love to move around and use speed more than anything. Oh well, yet another area of my life thats moved on.

I'm still holding out some hope for that other thing, although I may be misreading things. What the hell - getting hung up about it isn't going to do me any favours. Time to relax! and get on with my open uni work.

I tell you, theres not 5 minutes peace to be had right now especially with most of my friends just happening to be back in town at the same time - just when I could do with some peace! Oh well, only a total idiot would complain about having friends around, especially when it's fairly rare we can all get together like this - so I wont!
