Its Still Better than School

Today I didn't go to school. Doctor's Appointment. Every time I go to the doctors I bring a book to read while I am in the waiting room cause if I didn't I would have to amuse myself with one of the many copies of either, Ski Weekly, Fishing News, Sports Illustrated or Lifestyle. There isn't even a Highlights to be found.

Of course I always leave my book in the waiting room when I get called into the doctor's office. I always immediately regret this decision, I don't know if maybe they are just doing this to me but they leave the longest expanse of time between the nurse leaving and the doctor coming. It makes me want to make a mad dash to the waiting room and grab my reading selection. The worst thing is when you want to scam some doctor gloves or other exciting things found in mass prepackaged quantities in the doctor's room. I don't care how old you are, making blow up glove balloons will always be fun. Of course you can never get to these things cause you know as soon as you get up the doctor is going to open the door. "What are you doing in my drawers?" "...uh, its a symptom, write this down in your file"

I also wonder how long they insist on putting me in the children's doctor room. After puberty you really don't appreciate the teddy bears waving from the hot air balloons as you hack your lungs  out. What I wouldn't do for some nice plain white walls with the occasional DONT SMOKE and SAFE SEX poster.
