the united kingdom
Darrin and I triumphantly returned from our week long voyage to the United Kingdom for Jen and Tom's Blessing Ceremony. The ceremony was nice and relaxed, and it was fun to get to know some of Tom's family.
We made day trips to Warwick Castle and the Hook Norton Brewery, both of which were great experiences.
To let the newlyweds get some peace and quiet, we took the train up to Edinburgh, Scotland. On the way up we took a sleeper car, which is way smaller than they look in the movies. Edinburgh had great architecture, great pubs (with haggis!), and great whiskey.
One of the parts I enjoyed the most was just hanging out in and around Oxford with Jen, Tom, and all of their friends. They are all great fun, and I already miss them. Pictures are posted below; the captions get into some more specifics:
