My left foot

Jun 21, 2011 09:44

So my new car is an automatic. Now I have never drivenm an automatic gearbox before but have adjusted quite well, faster than I thought I would.

The weird thing though is the flaccid left foot. Where I would have been using the clutch pedal and occasionally coasting to squeeze a slight improvement in the MPG under a manual transmission I can no longer do this. lets see how much difference this makes.

Otherwise I am enjoying a nearly new 6-year old car.

Its got a lot of toys that I have never had in a car before to play with, the previously mentioned rear-parking sensors, an MP3 co-ax in the glove box and Sat Nav (altough its an original 2005 fitted sat nav which doesn't give you road maps or a nagging wife it just seems to point north, tell you how far away your destination is and force you to be looking at the dash board when you crash into the car in front)...

Needless to say I either havn't quite worked ot the Satnav yet or am just not using it right. Answers on a postcard please.

cars, all about me, new tech
