(no subject)
so i went to the band preview yesterday at Edinboro U. i got to see Alex Lowe (Uhlir)'s debut as GHSs new band director. i'll be honest it was very bitter sweet. to think i coulda been her. hmm. oh well. i'll be honest i was quite dissapointed. it was 20 mins long, kinda dissorganized, music was subpar, and the marching was very eh. i guess i just expected more from "the chosen one" as i joked with her in HS. its just an hr drive there and back and i opened this morning. so this entry will be short.
today however was kinda nice. first time in a long time. the store was tip top and my DM was there to observe and everything was fabulous. i'll admit i was nervous when i found out he was going to spend the day with me but it was cool. im one of those managers that doesnt really care if a "higher up" is going to be around or not. as long as you do your shit then who cares right?
i came home after being stuck in traffic for an hr due to a truck and a boat crashing on the freeway. ugh. i started reading my Kathy Griffin book which so far is great. i just dont have much time to read anymore. id love to do it more often. im still in the process of reading American Band which i havnt touched in MONTHS. and speaking of which i reaaaally need to finish my Wicked puzzle that ive had since december. ha
but yeah, im done on facebook, checked email and all that jazz so how its time to hang in the AC. i hear tomorrow is going to be a scorcher... hurrah!
