I'd like the steak, a baked potato, and absolution

Gays are Running Wild in Utah and there's nothing you can do about it.
Seriously, I'm cool with people living how they want to live, but to try and customize a religion just doesn't make any sense from a religious stand point.

Desire for flexibility was one of the driving forces behind Reform Judaism, if I'm not mistaken. The idea that one should study tradition, then adapt it to better define their personal faith, is an attractive proposition for some.

I understand why a more well-defined faith would be an asset as well, and I think it's unrealistic of homosexuals to expect the Mormon Church to be flexible on an issue of morality. I do expect an offshoot of the LDS to form within the next decade, though. There are enough moralistic gays to make such an organization feasable; and one of the dangers of having a large, successful religion is these dogmatic "cracks" appear.

No one wanted to mention that these "conservative" cities have low crime rates and are more desireable places to live than nearby "liberal" cities, I noticed. Wonder why that could be.

Don't bring it up because they'll tell you that the low crime is of course due to the gay and lesbian presence. That and all the orgies (not proven to be related to gay and lesbian presence).

I feel safer with a large gay & lesbian presence. I was completely comfortable walking the streets of Capitol Hill in Seattle, because homosexuals felt free to do so as well.

They know I'm one step ahead of them and yet they just don't get it.

Is it so far fetched for a woman to feel safe because of the tolerance & presence of another minority typically harassed?

This argument reminds me of the anti-gun assertation that people would be safer if firearms were outlawed, in spite of the crime-ridden nature of cities like Washington DC and New York City, where personal weapons are banned or heavily restricted.

There's nothing wrong with feeling safe, except that you weren't actually safer on Capitol Hill than you would be in Freemont or Wallingford, if the SPD crime statistics are to be believed.

Also, women are 54% of the United States population; I wouldn't bring up your concerns about being a harrassed minority in front of the real McCoy.

I would feel safer if it weren't for the latent threat of homosexual gang rape.

I wish men could be women sometimes, but briefly, or they'd too much dishonour our sex.

Oh, I see. I wouldn't understand because I'm not a woman. I can't count because I have a penis. That's cute.

I wish women could be men sometimes, if only to have to deal with blatantly illogical reasoning and contend with the myriad double standards to which men are subjected.

The Mormon church has undergone drastic cultural alterations within the last couple generations. I fervently hope that traditional Mormonism will continue to be marginalized as these children grow into power.

for traditional Mormonism to be marginalized in such away would destroy all that is "Mormonism"
