So, it's around that time, I suppose:
Things have been great lately. My house is awesome. I bought a grill this weekend, and we've barbecued every night since then. Last night we made shish kabobs. Before that, we made steaks, red skin potatoes, peppers, onions, and asparagus all on the grill. My oh my how I love grilling. We're thinking about having a semi-regular "grill night" where people bring some food, some beer, and their darling selves and spend the afternoon cooking, drinking, and all around cavaliering. Let me know if you're interested. Or, conversely, if you want to come out soon, regardless of any "grill nights," you're welcome to that, as well.
I can't wait for my beach to open. I'm really looking forward to playing a lot of volleyball and doing a lot of swimming this summer. I may even look into getting a kayak, if I can find one for cheap. I think it would be really neat to be able to do this sort of thing. Also, I hope I have the motivation to get up and go swimming before work, at least a few days a week.
I've got another uncle that was checked into a mental hospital as a danger to himself. Any of you that know my family history should know why this sort of thing worries me. Is every man in my family meant to have a mid-life go-fucking-crazy crisis? Will I be exempt? I don't know. I feel sane now.
I can't believe all the people I know getting married. Way to start a trend, missy and jon. My ex-girlfriend is getting married. That's a bit of a trip in some ways, but I'm nothing but happy for her, and I hope they make it. Myself, I'm nowhere near getting married to anybody yet. I'd have to meet a girl I really felt that way about, first. And then get to know her. I've dated a few girls in the past year or so, but none of them I really felt strongly about.
Adam and Alissa broke up. Not sure if I told people that yet or not. It's strange, but I'd been preparing for that since I started living with her, and it's managed not to be awkward. So if anybody is interested, i have a cute single roommate seeking a boyfriend. Haha.
Ben's planning on moving out near the end of May. Which is a bummer, because I'll miss him a lot, and also because we'll be down a roommate. We'll need to find a new one. He's following Holly down south, to live with her while she finishes her Navy school hoohah. I think we're going to throw him a "Living In Sin" party before he leaves. I'm sure he'd appreciate that.
I think that's it, for now.
