I am about to do some serious gloating, so if you don't want to hear it, stop reading. :)
Work gave me a $10 Target gift card for my bday, so I went over there on my lunch today to puruse the clothing sales racks. There were a few dresses I really liked, and they were super duper on sale. I took them into the dressing room & made three piles: definitely will fit, probably will fit, and don't get depressed when it doesn't fit you. Well, wasn't I pleasantly surprised when a size SMALL from the don't-get-depressed pile actually FIT and fit well! To top it off, the dress is made from a pretty unforgiving fabric instead of something like stretchy cotton. I actually got to decide I didn't want the dress because I didn't like the color and NOT because I couldn't get it over my fat ass! Of course, I promptly bought the dress in a different color because it was SIX DOLLARS and SIZE SMALL and that's just awesome. I'm not 100% convinced I like the way it looks, but you can bet your ass I'll wear it and pat myself on the back all the god damn day that I do! Oh, and I got another dress, size medium. I didn't even LOOK at the extra larges or larges. !!!

I don't think I'm a size small (yet), but rather that *this* size small happened to fit me. Regardless, I KNOW I wouldn't have fit into this dress 3 months ago, and that makes me feel awesome.
