The Village

I went to see the village today after coming home from work. I've seen all the trailers and was really looking forward to the movie. Yet the movie did not turn out to be what I expected. It was still a decent movie, but the ending was not what you would have expected. There is no way that anyone could guess how it ends, since it comes way out ( Read more... )

Ah, so I wasn't too far off base with my idea. I had seen the trailers too and I was/am actually interested in seeing it. Then, I saw a quick headline on AOL saying how the guy who did it was a master of the plot twist. So, my thought was that there was no real monster...that what the yellow cloak wearing people thought was a monster was just another set of people (like Two Chucks living in the woods)Ether that or the people themselves were the monsters in someway

Still want to see the movie, boo ya

It depends on how i think about it. For the most part it was great, but it was not what i thought it was going to be as a movie.

i side with steph on this one... the movie was great, ecxeptionally good job done with the casting (not only is Bryce Dallas Howard the daughter of the man who brought us Willow, she's also a very good actress and pretty easy on the eyes to boot). i def expected vintage Night plot-LA Freeway(because somehow "twisting" just doesn't quite clinch it), this one delivered. looking back, it's also vintage Night in that he throws hints, some quite obvious, throughout the entire film. i also am a fan of the hitchcock homage of putting himself subtley in the movie. all in all, i could understand people i've heard who didn't like it, but i thought was a good pic.
