The ink on his body always marked the end of something. For each tattoo there was a prolonged one-night stand, the memory of glorious sex that meant nothing: a pretty face, a nice set of cans.
Getting inked always hurt, but this time the pain was minimized, his senses only alert by traces of blood left in his alcohol system. The freshly-inked tattoo wasn't just another pretty face. This time it meant something. It was a beginning, not an end. It went beyond sex. Though Chazz hoped it would lead to a bit of that too. A lot. Maybe someday.
