Okay world. You win. I'll spend the thousands of dollars I don't have to go to a school that I don't want to go to, to learn things I won't understand, in the hopes of getting a bachelors degree, so I can be magically entitled to all these other jobs that will open up. Yes, I will spend the next 2 years of my life doing a job I hate for a company that doesn't care about it's employees to get this job. I'll live at home for another 2 years. Sure. Cause you know, jobs I've looked at are hiring people straight from school, and aren't asking for two - ten years of experience. Sure. Cause all the people I know with bachelor degrees have obtained these jobs.
And then, by some chance I obtain one of these jobs, it will probably be in something I don't like, and I'll just be miserable, but at least I can cling to the hope it will be a Monday-Friday 9-5 job.
I hate this fucking world. It's not about what you can do. It's about the money you have, and who you know, and catching a lucky break. I don't have money. I can't afford proper health care even with insurance. I don't know anyone so I'm never going to get that leg up. And I don't catch lucky breaks. So I'm forever doomed to live a middle class life style at best.
I was kidding myself to think I could get a job like that anyway. I sure can't wait for my 10 cent raise next year.
