THE RESPONSIBLE MAN COMETH...

Been a good boy today, organizing all my affairs physical and financial. I like to do that once in a while, just to make me feel like I still have some sort of control over the whirling dryer bin that is my life.

Almost completely out of the 'Pedia game, which will be a big stress relief, though yes, I will miss it somewhat, too.

Work continues to be both incredibly gratifying and blackboard-scratchingly stressful at the same time; I sometimes feel really bad for my poor Meaghan, who has to hear me unwind every night or so for about a half hour... O_o

But I admit that it still IS one of the better jobs I've ever had -- lots of variety in my tasks and projects, which means that I don't have the time to get bored... And I definitely feel that they are aware of my value there. Lord knows that the big cheese keeps tossing new challenges and tasks my way (he seems to like giving stuff that other people dropped the ball on), and I get them done every time. But sometimes it's hard to not snap when you have a half-dozen people coming to you with "priority" tasks all at the same time...

Vern is still living the good life here in Ottawa, and she just now got a job (she's starting Monday!), to boot! She'll be working retail in the Market area on a part-time basis to start off, and we'll see what happens from that point on. All I know is that every time she comes over to visit or to stay over, I feel like the world is the best place ever.

(And you know that that is usually how I feel whenever I come home to find my Meaghan, so imagine that doubled, and you now know the incredible power and beauty that is Vern...)

So yep. Life IS good right now. Gonna head out to Mike's in an hour or so, stopping by the Lick-Bo to pick up some Holy Grail and a few Keiths'. Then it's Future Risk Night, woo!

Yep. Life IS good.

Yep.
