I keep trying to think of a way to preface this, except I don't really have anything to say. So, hey, forget that part. Let's just get to it.

by Charli J. Travis/William. 3,131 words. Title from Charles Bukowski.

Something like... )

Just. Yes. Damn. I have to say, I enjoy writing/reading drunkfic more than the average joe (heh), and the silly straightedge kids make it so hard! Travis the philosophizer is pure genius, and yeah. Then you get to this: And maybe trust and booze were the reason he made out with Bill Beckett on the balcony the other night, but it probably couldn't account for why he wanted to do it again.

And I made a little noise.

This is hot, SO hot, and the whole thing is a little hazy, and the bit where Travis slammed him into the wall pretty much did me in for life.

VERY well done!

The straightedge kids make it so hard, especially because I can't even keep track of who is and who isn't yet.

Thank you for reading! I'm glad I could help supply your drunk/high fic needs. :)

This is exactly the sort of aid I needed! (And, aw, it hurts Ryan to watch people he cares about drink. Aw, I heart Ryan.)

w/r/t AAR, I know...nothing but their singles, and by singles I mean only 'Swing Swing.' I haven't heard any of the The Hush Sound either, but I'm open to both! I'll look into them.

It does, it hurts him! :(

AAR! :D The Hush Sound are keen. They're on Decaydance and have been on a few tours so we all love them. One of these days Jessa will make her primer on them.

I can confirm the Tombo category. I was lurking him big time in the upstairs bar during Acceptance at the venue they played in Boise during the Truckstops tour. Too shy to actually go and say "Hello ... I worship your photographs" but I walked past him back and forth to the bathroom (twice!) in a failed effort of "look at me, damnit, look at me."
