(no subject)
enter february [and so appropriately with a small dose of heartache and a teaspoon of rejection]-- the kind that's always right in front of your nose and totally unavoidable unless you're willing to make massive changes in your social circle but i'm not about to let it get me down [too much]
everything seems to be moving really quickly and i'm catching bits and pieces of the peripheral. i finally have two job interviews this week..one tomorrow as the administrative assistant at a claims agency [ooh la fucking la] and one on thursday as a video game tester at activision [this makes me smile, even though i know to make ends meet i'm going to have to take the boring one]. i have three freelance writing gigs currently. got the one at the pasadena weekly one at 30 below and one with domestic help monthly which i think i'm leaving behind-- when i got the first assignment to write a story about how to entertain high profile guests on "only" a 5 figure budget, i thought the editor said five finger budget at first. i should probably keep it in my backpocket but it just doesn't feel necessary. 30 below is great though and i'm writing a feature article/interview on/with curtis blount.
we bid a sad farewell to julie this week and sent that mark ass trick back to new york. i don't think la could have survived one more night-- someone had to go equally distribute the awesomeness otherwise the united states might have just tipped on over into the pacific.
i'm exhausted.
