Lewis and Clark:

First of all, Fuck Lewis. Meriwether,- what kind of bitch ass name is that? That’s why he was down to go out West; no one would make fun of his name with Sacajawea being the norm. Clark was a general and the first Eagle Scout as far I’m concerned. Lewis was all “my feet hurt” and “are we there yet? No wonder he ( Read more... )

15. anti-smoking whiners. ever think that maybe some of us LIKE smoking? that maybe we're doing it to piss YOU off personally. yeah, we'll listen to you whine about it, but now it's gonna cost you a $50 tax. think of it as a discount on the hourly rate your therapist charges your bitter-sweet ass.

yes...it's true....i like pissing in your mouth, but they made it illegal b/c its unhealthy...like spitting on the sidewalk during the the 20's flu/plague...if only that flu could have had big douche bag cooperations making money off of it...it could have killed 100s of millions like tabacco instad of only 20 million...so weak...

last i heard, pissing in someone's mouth isn't illegal unless you're forcing it on them. besides, what's so bad about a product killing people if the people buy it willingly? you might as well rail on against makers of alcoholic beverages, all fast food/fatty food makers, and every other business that ever opened just about. sure, there's risks with everything, but i'm not afraid of dying.

and if you're so angry, maybe death would be a step up for you. think about it.

oh, and what's with all the spelling errors?

I haven't gone to see KRS-One because I didn't know he has been in Portland. But I have listened to...at least ten KRS-One albums over and over again.

But I agree with you.

I don't like the most ugly thuggish rappers out there, but I don't think "intelligent" means "middle class college kid". I don't need all my hip-hop to be feel good, liberal, positive stuff.

no...i'm not saying that any thuggish crap that is made should be listenned to...but don't dismiss the people who made what you (not you, but one) think is now "intellgent" and that stuff wasn't...what do you think Aesop Rock grew listenning to and forming his shits...same for Atmosphere...same for Sage Francis...Cannibal Ox, etc...isn't Chubby Checker "The Twist" stupid..or "Another Saturday Night"...but we wouldn't dismiss that from current "intelligent" rock....no, that would be racist...

lastly...i really like most of those artists...as a promoter, i booked atmosphere 3 times from 98-2002...slug was a cool guy and could freestyle in a very limited league...I booked sage and he was great too...still, the point remains...know the roots...if not, know that you don't know them and don't give me the shits of it is not "intelligent" and that is why you don't listen....again, not directed indiividually, but as in "one"

so, you're seriously saying Ludacris is intelligent hiphop, Atmosphere isn't? Do you actually LISTEN to the music?

No, I didn't say that...

I will say that thee is more to hip-hop than lyrics, like rocking different styles. Ludacris is a master at his elemnet, using a delyaed off-beat rhyme stlye....it was done before, but not in that manner...dirty south manner, and I can promise you that every "intelligent" person in hip-hop took notice of what he was doing...

As far as calling something intelligent or not...not going to do that...I will say that Ludacris is much more something like pop...hmmm...pop-hop

When I say "not done before"...I mean it in the way that America hadn't been discovered before Columbus...there were obviously some people there, but nobody really heard (about) it
