What is blooming?

What is blooming right now? For the past week and a half I've been snarfling and sneezing and coughing and I thought I had a cold, but it's pretty clearly turned into allergies at this point. Is there cedar around here? I'm apparently allergic to cedar. Not sure what else.

Grass pollen is going crazy. It's been really bad this year, everyone is complaining!

This. I heard that something like half the grass seed that's sold in the US is grown here. And my lawn is pretty untamed, too, I can actually see the pollen wafting in the wind.

I wonder sometimes if they rank allergens on what is "normal" because every summer I suffer like crazy, but extra-so this summer. There is a cedar or pine tree right outside our window and I'm SURE that is not helping.

I've found daily allergy medicine helps!

I never used to have allergies until I moved here. You think it's bad in Portland, Eugene and down south is 10 x worse. I tend to itch and have a bad histamine reaction when the pollen goes crazy. I agree with the above comment, daily medication will do wonders.

i'm dying too. my folks send me bootleg claratin from OK because it has real pseudofed in it and it works wonders. i didn't know i was allergic to cedar until i moved to eugene, allergy capital of the world. good luck with this; you are not snarfling/sneezin alone, that's for sure.

Didn't they take this off the market because it caused permanent loss of smell?
