so yeah, the bastardliness of the situation was acknowledged and apologized for, and apparently much time was spent talking about how i needed to be there with them though there wasnt anyone else to sit so thats why i offered. but im invited next weekend for somones birthday. so all in all, feeling better about the whole thing, but still a little mistrustful.
