FYI: Washington road NF-99 is washed out just on the other side of the trail to Strawberry Mountain.
solteronita, lokitwospirit w/IRL friend, and I decided to hike Spirit Lake near Mount St Helens. We made the two-plus hour drive to find the road washed out. We started a different trail and then decided the Widmer Brothers Pub was a better idea. So all in all, it was a really good day.
solteronita checked for road closures before we left and couldn't find anything. I'm poking around WSDOT's website and not finding anything either. If anyone has good links for checking road conditions, please comment here, and I'll post the links in the community info. Thanks!
