Woot for The Oscars!
Overall at the Academy Awards this year, most of the ones I wanted to win won and there were a few nice surprises too.
The biggest surprise for me was when Alan Arkin won Best Supporting Actor and that was only because I thought Eddie Murphy had it in the bag but I was thrilled cuz I love Little Miss Sunshine and he did a great job.
Jennifer Hudson's Best Supporting Actress win was no surprise and I was actually crying when she gave her speech. I knew it was going to be her night and she deserved it. Dreamgirls truly is a great movie and she was brilliant.
Alan Arkin's unexpected win did cause me to be a little nervous though and I remember thinking it could be anybody's game now.
My tivo cut off just as they announced Best Original Song due to overtime so I didnt get to see Best Director, Best Picture, Best Actress or Best Actor :(
But I did watch Best Picture on Youtube yesturday and I was soooooo happy The Departed won!! That was an excellent movie!
For me though the MAJOR highlight was seeing Martin Scorsese FINALLY win Best Director. Of course I saw it on Youtube cuz of my stupid tivo but it was still great and I practically jumped out of my chair. Yay!!
Well I'd love to write more but I got lines to learn for my acting class tonight.
