Paid Time Donations and Requests
Hello, everyone! In light of the recent announcement to move damned to Dreamwidth, we've had multiple players generously offer donations for anyone in need of some paid time on their new Dreamwidth accounts. Players in the latter category range from those who may have been short-changed by purchasing paid time before Livejournal implemented its new version (and, consequently, may find it difficult to justify buying more paid time on Dreamwidth, or they just flat-out can't afford it for a little while), to those who are currently unable to buy paid time on Dreamwidth due to relying on Paypal for online transactions.
What Court, Psyche and I have decided to do is open up this post so players can either offer donations, or ask for help with paid time. In other words, please comment here if you would like to donate paid time to any player(s), OR if you would like to request paid time for any of your Damned character journals on Dreamwidth. After that, we will basically pair up donors and those who'd like to receive extra paid time by privately contacting donors on an individual basis and providing them with the account names of someone who requested help with paid time. In order to make this as comfortable and private as possible for all parties involved, all comments will be SCREENED. Furthermore, outside of providing account names and any specific monetary requests to donors, we will maintain confidentiality concerning who commented, as well as any monetary values that are either pledged, requested, or donated.
A basic paid account automatically includes 100 icons. (More details concerning the difference between free, paid, and premium accounts can be found here.) For easy reference, though, this is a break-down of how much a basic paid account on Dreamwidth costs:
12 months for 350 points ($35.00 USD)
6 months for 175 points ($17.50 USD)
2 months for 60 points ($6.00 USD)
1 month for 30 points ($3.00 USD)
While you do not need a Dreamwidth account to purchase paid time for someone (and can even do so anonymously if you wish), please note that you cannot use Paypal for any transactions on Dreamwidth.
