So um yesterday I was in 'McCleod's Daughters', dressed circa 1856! *lamish*.
It was such a long day - 10 1/2 hours to be exact and it was bloody cold and we were standing outside for most of that time.
Some of the other extra's had gone to so much trouble with their costumes it was amazing. The were men there in top hats and tails! They looked great, very Pride & Predjudice, so swoon for me.
I embarassingly had to admit to some of the other people I met that I didn't know who most of the characters were. I haven't watched the show in about 3 years, I dont actually like it. Although I didn't know who they were, a couple of the male leads were very good looking in the flesh, paticularly this one young guy with dark hair and olive skin. He was dressed in a military costume and cut a fine figure on the dance floor.
Most of the actors were very friendly and welcoming but, there was one, I think his name is Aaron Jefferies, he play's Alex (he's very nice looking and big and muscly) was very stand offish. When he wasn't filming he just stood to one side wearing dark glasses and smoking or looking moody.
His main scene seemed to be with a woman he was wearing a very fancing green silky gown and playing his fiance. Between takes they were very touchy feeling and the rumour is they are having and affair as he's just split up from his wife.
We were filming at the Freeling institute but the home base was the football clubrooms and hall where we ate and got changed and had hair and costume touch ups.
The food was really nice. Actors eat well. There was a full English/continental breakfast at 7.30am and lunch was a massive spread followed by dessert.
Didn't get home till just after 6pm and having been up and on my feet since 5.30am I just flopped into a seat by the fire and refused to get up. I slept like a log last nite but I'm still pretty tired today.
I wont be doing anything else with Kelly for quite a while, she was a bit of a brat and never once thanked me for giving up my time to take her.
