2006
Today was really a beautiful day, the first perfect day in ages.
Went on a Picnic to Seppeltsfield Winery with Tom and my family + most of my relatives from Sydney. I'm so lucky when it comes to Tom, because not only is he a wonderful boyfriend who seems to constantly be going out of his way to make me happy but he loves my family and they love him.
He's spent most of the last four days since they all arrived at my place hanging out with them all and he doesn't seem to want to go home to much which I have no complaints about.
Didn't do much for New Years eve since all the relatives arrived that afternoon
I stayed home with all of them and Tom making Sangria and drinking Cider and Wine underneath the fairy lights on our verandah.
There are 20 people at our house for tea tonight and I think there'll be about 24 tomorrow night, so its been rather hectic and noisy. I'd completely forgotten whats its like to have lots of little cousins running around.

On the whole I feel quite good at the start of this new year. There have been a few little hiccups and there are a few people I've decided I'm going to cut my tyes with this year but thats life. Not matter how much you grow there are always going to be those who dont and who persist in acting in childish attention seeking ways, and I want to try and start this new year without extra things to upset me.
For a while now I've been trying quite hard not to be upset by a few people who seem intent on not including me in there lives and not acknowledging the part I play in others, but I know now that unless they have a sudden change of heart its always going to be that way.
I really didn't enjoy 2005 and it was a really difficult year for me, so its very important to me that I change all of that this year.
There are alot of things that still aren't fixed but I'll look to the future and the positives: a wonderful boyfriend, great friends, a supportive family and a chance to start something new.
